DI COSTANZO

Di Costanzo’s passionate focus is single-vineyard, age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon, crafted by partners in wine and in life, Erin and Massimo Di Costanzo.

We started Di Costanzo here in the Napa Valley because we saw room at the table for makers like us, and for wines like these. We believe in sustainable farming, impeccable and soulful winemaking, followed by pure enjoyment when the cork is pulled. Let the wines be celebrated. And when examined, let no trace of the winemaker’s hand show.

The origin of Di Costanzo is a story of respect. Respect for classic producers of fine wines. For memories made at boisterous restaurants, tables laden with glasses of wine. And for tradition, learned over long family lunches at Massimo’s ancestral home in Positano. That respect is embodied in our unshakably high standards for our selection of heritage vineyard sites and careful winemaking in the cellar.

HISTORY

The crunch of fishing boats pulled up onto the pebbly beach. The long walk up a stone staircase, to a simple table heaving with platters of fresh fish, salumi and pasta. On those hot summer days—the ones that forged Massimo’s memories and sensibilities—the wine was served simply in a pitcher with ice and sliced peaches, without pretension and full of joy. Massimo’s grandfather, relaxing from his morning on the sea as a fisherman, would say the words emblazoned on our corks: Aqua Fa Male, Vino Fa Cantare. Water Makes You Sick, Wine Makes You Sing.

These memories are a touchstone for Di Costanzo, and that spirit is captured on our label. We work obsessively hard so that the final joy, the bottle on the table, the bountiful meal with family and friends seems effortless.
